Le programme généraliste « Espoirs de la recherche » de la FRM est ouvert à tous les domaines de la recherche en biologie et en santé. Il contribue notamment à la formation des jeunes chercheurs en proposant différents types d’aides individuelles.

Le Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies (FQRNT) : bourses de recherche postdoctorale (B3X)



Le FQRNT attribue des bourses de 30 000 $ aux postdoctorants. La durée minimale de la recherche postdoctorale est de six mois et la durée maximale est de 24 mois.

La recherche postdoctorale doit être effectuée dans un autre établissement que celui qui a décerné le doctorat. Les milieux d'accueil hors du Québec internationalement reconnus sont privilégiés.

Pour bénéficier d'une bourse de formation, il faut avoir la citoyenneté canadienne ou la résidence permanente au sens de la Loi sur l'immigration et la protection des réfugiés (L. C. 2001, ch. 27) et être domicilié au Québec au sens de la Loi sur l'assurance maladie du Québec.

The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds: PhD fellowships



The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds awards PhD fellowships to outstanding junior scientists who wish to pursue an ambitious PhD project of approximately 3 years in basic biomedical research in an internationally leading laboratory.
The fellowship comprises a competitive monthly stipend that is initially granted for 2 years and that can be extended for up to another 12 months.

Deadlines of application: 1 February, 1 June, 1 October of each year.

Parkinson's Foundation: Postdoctoral Fellowships for Basic Scientists Program



The Postdoctoral Fellowships for Basic Scientists are two-year fellowships for young scientists, fresh from their Ph.D. training, to study at major research institutions.
This program grants $120,000 over two years. This consists of $55,000 annually (to be used as salary) as well as a $5,000 annual research allowance to be used at the Fellow's discretion, with sponsor/mentor approval, to pay for items such as books, training courses, travel costs (up to $2,000) or a computer.

Eligibility & Restrictions
The applicant must be within five years of receiving his or her Ph.D. at the time the award starts, and must name an individual who will serve as his or her research mentor and supervisor. This program is open to both national and international applicants.

The Branco Weiss Fellowship – Society in Science



The fellowship is designed for postdocs at home in sciences, engineering and social sciences who are willing to engage in a dialogue on relevant social, cultural, political or economic issues across the frontiers of their particular discipline.
The Branco Weiss Fellowship is designed to support postdoctoral researchers after their PhD and before their first faculty appointment. Those in current postdoctoral positions are also eligible.

The Autism Science Foundation 2020 Pre- and Postdoctoral Training Awards & Medical Student Gap Year Research Training Awards



The Autism Science Foundation invites applications for its Pre- and Postdoctoral Training Awards from graduate students, medical students and postdoctoral fellows interested in pursuing careers in basic and clinical research relevant to autism spectrum disorders.

Autism Science Foundation will make a number of awards determined by its available financial resources.
The term of the award will be a period of one year and will include:
For predoctoral and medical students: $25,000
For postdoctoral students: $35,000

This award cannot be used to cover tuition payments. No portion of these funds shall be used to cover indirect university costs.
Applications Due: Monday, December 2, 2019 5:00 pm EST Anticipated project start date: July 1, 2020 – September 15, 2020
U.S. citizens enrolled in universities inside or outside of the United States are eligible to apply. Non-US citizens enrolled in universities based inside or outside of the U.S. are also eligible to apply.
