The Branco Weiss Fellowship – Society in Science



The fellowship is designed for postdocs at home in sciences, engineering and social sciences who are willing to engage in a dialogue on relevant social, cultural, political or economic issues across the frontiers of their particular discipline.
The Branco Weiss Fellowship is designed to support postdoctoral researchers after their PhD and before their first faculty appointment. Those in current postdoctoral positions are also eligible.

The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds: PhD fellowships



The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds awards PhD fellowships to outstanding junior scientists who wish to pursue an ambitious PhD project of approximately 3 years in basic biomedical research in an internationally leading laboratory.
The fellowship comprises a competitive monthly stipend that is initially granted for 2 years and that can be extended for up to another 12 months.

Deadlines of application: 1 February, 1 June, 1 October of each year.

Le Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies (FQRNT) : bourses de recherche postdoctorale (B3X)



Le FQRNT attribue des bourses de 30 000 $ aux postdoctorants. La durée minimale de la recherche postdoctorale est de six mois et la durée maximale est de 24 mois.

La recherche postdoctorale doit être effectuée dans un autre établissement que celui qui a décerné le doctorat. Les milieux d'accueil hors du Québec internationalement reconnus sont privilégiés.

Pour bénéficier d'une bourse de formation, il faut avoir la citoyenneté canadienne ou la résidence permanente au sens de la Loi sur l'immigration et la protection des réfugiés (L. C. 2001, ch. 27) et être domicilié au Québec au sens de la Loi sur l'assurance maladie du Québec.
